Tom had an early interest in art involving different mediums, such as woodworking, metal sculpting, oil and acrylic painting. Beginning in 1999, he was an exhibitor at the Western Design Conference. Tom showcases his western style furniture that he designs and builds under the name T.B. McCoy Western Designs. Tom is a founding member and exhibited at the former Cody High Style show. His creations have been featured in Cowboys & Indians and Log & Timber magazines, and the book Cowboy Chic by Chase Reynolds Ewald. Many of his pieces, from frames to chairs, feature his painting talents. This is a wonderful marriage as he creates a frame for each painting. Tom has participated and won awards in many events and shows. Tom is a member of the Carbon County Arts Guild in Red Lodge, Montana and the Cody Country Art League in Cody, Wyoming where he has several paintings on display. He is represented by North Mountain Gallery in Cody, Wyoming. Tom’s studio and workshop is in Clark, Wyoming.
