Gilmore Metalsmithing Studio and Forging Atelier has been creating artistic forged metalwork since 1974. Glenn’s reputation for attention to detail and creating award-winning designs have earned commissions from coast to coast as well as professional recognition, in 2012 Gilmore was a United States Artists Fellowship Nominee, one of a select group of 300 artists in the nation. In the summer of 2000, the studio was moved to the Bitterroot Valley in Western Montana where Glenn continues using his European blacksmith training and the finest quality material. He includes bronze, Monel, copper, and steel, as he creates site-specific architectural metalwork for interior and exterior environments. Best known for designing unique fireplace doors and screens, Glenn also forges interesting and unique door hardware, furniture, chandeliers, gates, and artistic railings.
Works of art by Gilmore have been featured in many books and national publications. Recent project locations throughout the US, Missouri, Georgia, Connecticut, Wyoming, in Jackson Hole, at the Crescent H Ranch, Three Creek Ranch, Teton Village, as well as in Big Sky Montana, at The Yellowstone Club, Spanish Peaks, and Moonlight Basin.
